Online advertising is an effective way to broaden your consumer base through the use of internet. This can be an overwhelming process as there are many different ways you can advertise online. One Internet advising model I have found to be particularly interesting is Pay per click advertising (PCC), also referred to as costs per click (CPC). Pay per click advertising, is as it sounds, advertisers only pay when someone clicks on an advertisement that links to the advertisers’ website. This is advantageous for a company on a budget as some CPCs are as low as a penny. Pay per click advertising is particularly useful if you want to advertise through search engines. In order to do so advertisers bid on keyword phrases that are relevant to your target. For instance if you want people browsing the web to view your paint can company when they Google search “paint can,” your advertiser may have bid on the keyword paint allowing your ad to be displayed.  Because you only pay when someone has visited your site, I consider Pay per click to be one of the more honest advertising techniques, as you only have to pull out your wallet when you see results.
